Financial Services Authority (FSA)
AFB needs to ensure that its communication policy keeps members up to date on key themes at FSA, as well as providing members with practical guidance to support them in meeting FSA requirements. We have a full lobbying agenda with FSA.

There are issues at FSA which are common to the rest of the market, which will affect AFB members:
- TCF FSA are currently focusing on how far TCF has been progressed within individual firms, including carrying out thematic work on the quality and suitability of advice, and the relationships between providers and distributors. This will no doubt cross-over with further work carried out on PPI.
- Thematic work Further work will also be carried out on disclosure documentation and sub-prime lending, both of which are likely to have an impact on AFB members.
As the statutory regulator of the mortgage intermediary market, the FSA has a raft of information from gaining authorisation to detailed analysis of its various thematic work into the mortgage sector.
